6 weeks pregnancy update

6 weeks pregnant title

How I am feeling:

Symptoms:

I've been feeling quite tired but keeping active. I have been doing some HIIT workouts (easy-moderate) and Tabata work outs plus some lovely stretchy yoga workouts which has keep me feeling bright. Finally saw my GP and have my booking in appointment mid-May. I'm not being offered an early scan though, they are just guestimating I am a week further along than what I think. Which I think is pretty useless. What do I know? I'm only guestimating myself! But the GP calulated the EDD as the 5th December based on my LMP date (which I gave a day out, woops!). Again this doesn't give me any clarity but it is something at least.
On Saturday 29th April I had my first wave of nausea in the morning immediately after using the iPad. Felt just like a sudden bout of motion sickness but my breakfast of a bowl of cheerios sorted me out. We thought ahead an bought some Pink Lucozade, ginger nut biscuits and some Maoam pinball sweets.
Generally been feeling quite bloated; I feel quite thick around my abs, as if my waist has just vanished. I really don't like this feeling. Probably all down to a slower digestive transit but it isn't helping myself feel happy about how I look.

Food:

Until this nausea kicked in I was really enjoying bananas. Now my sense of smell and taste has changed and I can't bear the smell of ripening bananas and Rob has had to get rid of them! I've been snacking every 2 hours or so to avoid my blood sugar from getting too low but need to make some big changes as Dextrose tablets are probably causing me spikes but sometimes it is all I can manage with all-day nausea. I read my pregnancy diaries with Lily and Alexander and sickness started around 6 and 7 weeks respectively, but I was properly sick so I kind of had some relief.

Skin:

Spotty! Especially on my chin, but I ate lots of ice cream and bakewell tarts at the weekend which probably haven't helped.

Sleep:

I ave been having the nausea feeling penetrate my sleep in the early hours, so I wake up immediately feeling revolting and weak. I then have a nibble of a ginger nut biscuit, a sip of grenadine squash or half a dextrose tablet which allows me to feel better enough to go back to sleep and wake up feeling a little bit less like poo.

Embryo development:

Baby's mouth, nose and ears are starting to form.

Vitamins and supplements:

1 x Sanatogen Mum-to-be pregnancy supplement per day
1 x low-dose 75mg aspirin per day

What I'm wearing:

Normal clothes
