Read
The Girl on the Train. I could not put it down! Well, I had to obviously, but I kept picking it up to read a page in between working and entertaining the kids. I've yet to see the film, but having heard negative reviews about it I'm not sure if it will be as good.
Watched
Parenting for Idiots on Channel 4. SO pleased others have experienced epic poonami's.
The wall...the doctors couch...the carseat...
The range was just stunning!
Heard
Another thing I've jumped on the bandwagon rather late - I have been listening to Sia, having heard Chandelier on Dance, Dance, Dance at the weekend. I love the music video as the dancer is so emotive and generally incredible for an 11 year old. Not sure how I missed hearing this back in 2014 though!
Made
A lemon curd swiss roll, but no photo as said cake was scoffed in record time!
A chocolate swiss roll is a beautiful thing :D |
Wore
My rather bright sports leggings for Clubbercise. They look like the Aurora Borealis exploded all over my legs.
And lastly
We have been noticing that Alexander has been developing at a rate of knots but I'm wondering if the Terrible Twos are well on the way. He can honestly be like a stroppy teenager, stomping and huffing. Boys!
Have a great weekend and week ahead everyone, thanks for reading.
I can't believe you're doing exercise classes, I've done one in the 8 months since having my second child. Good for you though.i should make the effort. The cake sounds delicious.

ReplyDeleteNow having three children that hour of Clubbercise is just about as much me time as I can get. Fun, and social too. But then I buy a bar of chocolate and feast haha!
DeleteSo lovely to see you back - I think a new baby is a perfect excuse for some time off though and she's absolutely gorgeous! I'm a huge Sia fan, and I'll admit I love Maddie Ziegler too (she's the dancer) - Dance Moms is brilliant haha xx
ReplyDeleteThank you :) Yes Maddie is a talented dancer, I occasionally switch on Dance Moms, gosh some of the mums are far too bitchy haha! xx
DeleteCongratulations! Are you really doing Clubbercise 7 weeks after having a baby???!!! Good on you! xx
ReplyDeleteI started Clubbercise at 2 weeks post Freyja It is literally my sole hour of me time during the week now, so I thought why not! xx
DeleteWow good for you for getting back to it so quickly, different things work for different people and i say well done! :) Those leggings are too cute and that chocolate roll looks amazing!! #littleloves
ReplyDeleteI loved Girl on the Train too - such a great book! x
ReplyDeleteHi Sophie, how you have even managed tow rite a blog post with two young children and a baby, I will never know! I don't think I'd even got dressed before my yongest turned seven years old!
ReplyDeleteWe have The Girl On The Train book, but I have yet to read it. Not for any other reason apart from I hate being disappointed when hyped up books aren't as good as expected. I really must give it a go.
And a lemon curd Swiss roll sounds like perfection on a plate, no wonder it didn't last long.
xx
Swiss roll absolutely delicious and those legging I love the vibrant color on them. I definitely think a new baby is time off good one you girl. #littleloves
