5 Ways to Brighten up your Kitchen for Spring

Spring has most definitely sprung and I am being drawn to the usual colours which are associated with this season. So I thought I would share with you five of my ideas to brighten up your kitchen for Spring, using a yellow colour scheme.

brighten your kitchen for spring yellow
1. Josefa Mustard Roller Blind, Blinds 2 Go / 2. Kendall Painted Yellow Stool, Next / 3. Joseph Joseph Nest™ Ovenware, set of 3 roasting pans / 4. Set of two Mason jar mugs, Next / 5. Yellow Easter Bunny mug, Sainsburys (instore)
I've been looking for a roller blind for the kitchen which features grey and saffron/mustard and this one from Blinds 2 Go looks like just what I am looking for, plus I love the pear design which I think is ideal for the kitchen.

If you have a breakfast bar and looking to swap your existing stools, how about the Kendall painted yellow stools from Next. There is also a matching console table within the range too. If only I had room! I would quite likely have a couple in yellow and a couple in teal or turquoise.

Joseph Joseph have brought out a trio of roasting pans which, as their name suggests, nest within each other for simple storage. Anything to reduce the amount of ovenware balancing precariously ontop of each other suits me!

I love the pair of mason ceramic jar mugs from Next. I would not only drink iced coffee from them but also serve Pimms in them during the summer. They would also provide a colourful focal point in the kitchen simply hanging from my shelf hooks or even holding some seasonal flowers. White tulips would look very pretty.

I know the children would adore the bright yellow Easter bunny mugs, available instore at Sainsbury's. Lily is particularly keen on the concept of the Easter bunny and thinks that the white rabbit looks like her own cuddly toy bunny, Biddy. I wonder if there are matching plates as well, they would be great for the children.

Thanks for taking a look, I hope you feel inspired.
